"Aleko Konstantinov" State Satiric Theatre
"Aleko Konstantinov" State Satiric Theatre was founded in 1956. It is a company
with a permanent ensemble of 35 actors. It is housed in a two-hall building.
The main hall has an audience capacity of 585 seats and the chamber one - 120
seats.
It has a diverse repertoire spectrum - from classical drama to contemporary
plays. Eight productions are done yearly and between 450 and 500 performances
are presented per season. The theatre is financed by Bulgaria's Ministry of
Culture and donations.
The theatre received the prize for staging for "The Offer" by A. P. Chehov at
the "Baltiyskiy dom '2000"
