"Bulgarian Army" Theatre
"Bulgarian Army" Theatre was founded in 1950. It has a permanent ensemble of
38 actors and a two-hall building. The main hall has an audience capacity of
600 seats and the chamber one - 60 seats. It has a diverse repertoire spectrum
- from classical drama to contemporary plays. Four productions are done yearly.
The theatre has various funding sources - Bulgaria's Ministry of Culture, donations
and its own revenues. The theatre has taken part in the Bonn Biennale in Germany
many times, in Festival D'avignon in France, the International Theatrical Olympics
in Moscow etc.
